The Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient stroke performance improvement initiatives. This role coordinates stroke-related activities across multiple departments and institutes to ensure compliance with standards, optimize clinical outcomes, and support the advancement of stroke care services.
In this leadership position, the Program Manager sets strategic priorities for Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center development and leads operational efforts tied to performance improvement. The role involves initiating, managing, and guiding interdisciplinary teams, monitoring performance metrics, and driving continuous quality improvement to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and program growth.
A caregiver in this position works full-time/M-F/8:00am-5:00pm/may work on weekends for events.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Support stroke program development, outreach, and performance improvement initiatives.
+ Lead interdisciplinary teams and coordinates meetings, documentation, and performance improvement activities.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to reduce risk and promote high-reliability stroke care.
+ Lead Joint Commission certification and recertification preparation and serves as on-site point person.
+ Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, AHA/ASA, and other regulatory standards in partnership with the Program Medical Director.
+ Develop and update evidence-based stroke policies and procedures across service lines.
+ Analyze and synthesize data to track outcomes, trends, and required registry metrics.
+ Coordinate education and professional development for continuum-of-care providers.
+ Collaborate with referring facilities and transport teams to ensure safe transitions of care.
+ Participate in enterprise-wide initiatives supporting Neurological Institute goals.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Registered Nurse with strong clinical background in acute care and/or ambulatory care
+ Bachelor's of Nursing Science (BSN)
+ Current state licensure as an RN
+ Certification in NIHSS within 90 days of hire.
+ Stroke Certified RN or other certification pertinent to role within 2 years of hire.
+ Recommend successful completion of continuous improvement training (example: 6Sigma or SolVE) within 2 years of hire
+ 3 years of experience with appropriate patient population
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Master's Degree
+ Previous Stroke Center or program management
Physical Requirements:
+ Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
+ Will require periods of sitting, standing and the ability to travel to various locations throughout the Cleveland Clinic; must have normal or corrective vision, ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone. Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum Annual Salary: $69,600.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $106,132.50
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education.
