Description:
Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an experienced Regional Medical Staff Coordinator to join our team!
Shift
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday / No weekends or holidays!
This person will assist the THMA Regional Director of Medical Affairs for Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, the staff in the Medical Staff offices, and the Vice President Medical Affairs in carrying out the credentialing, administration, and coordinating activities of the Medical Staff Offices within the Mid-Atlantic Region. Will exercise good judgment and confidentiality in accordance with Hospital and Medical Staff policies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
+ Coordinates and processes initial and reappointment applications.
+ Compile’s quality data/logs, etc. for initials and reappointments
+ Prepares correspondence to providers and physician leaders.
+ Performs various online inquiries
+ Continuous follow-up and contact with applicants and their staff
+ Organizes the credentials file for review
+ Understands and adheres to JCAHO standards, CMS and DOH requirements
+ Compliance and understanding of FPPE and OPPE process.
+ Prepares recommendation letters for Department Chairs & Section Directors
+ Organizes the credentials files for a seamless review
+ Prepares Credentials Committee agenda, Credentials Report and all follow up correspondence
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Associates Degree in related healthcare specialty highly preferred
+ At least 5 years' experience in medical staff credentialing preferably in the hospital setting
+ Familiar with Joint Commission and CMS
+ Knowledge of medical terminology
