    The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for developing and scheduling work plans that ensure safe, compliant, and efficient maintenance execution resulting in maximized equipment reliability. This employee must understand the statistical process control (SPC), have knowledge of product line and manufacturing standards, follow verbal and written instructions. This position Serves as principal contact and liaison between Maintenance and Production. The normal operating duties are listed below and can change depending on unforeseen circumstances or are assigned by supervision for the success of the operation.

     

    -Maintain and Setup Preventive and Predictive Maintenance plan for equipment in SAP

     

    -Develop work schedules with consideration to task priority

     

    -Write job instructions, including estimated labor by craft (Mechanical, Electrical), and special equipment or permits needed.

     

    -Interface with operations to validate work priority and equipment availability.

     

    -Generate PM and PdM work orders in SAP.

     

    -Develop down day schedules and develop and publish a weekly maintenance schedule-

     

    -Prioritize and issue work orders for all maintenance work

     

    - Maintain equipment history records and functional location hierarchy.

    -Monitor and analyze SAP part failure data to detect trends-

    -Plan and schedule corrective work to maximize crew utilization and effectiveness. Visit each job site with the requestor to gain a full understanding of the work required. Take photos and visualize the tasks in order to write job plans.

     

    -Facilitate planning and kitting.

     

    -Document parts to be used on Planned Work orders (reserve parts)

     

    -Monitor spending to meet plant budget goals and provide information from equipment history

     

    -Manage equipment spare parts inventory to ensure quality, quantity, and adequacy are being met while meeting plant cost effectiveness goals.

    Requirements

    -A four-year technical degree is strongly preferred but relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

     

    -Expertise with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC equipment and systems.

     

    -5+ years of experience in Maintenance Planning /Scheduling or Maintenance Supervision.

     

    -Working and practical knowledge of Predictive Maintenance technologies (Vibration Analysis, Infra-Red, Ultra Sound, and Oil Analysis).

     

    Other Skills/Abilities

     

    -Problem Solving - able to perform root cause analysis and implement effective countermeasures.

     

    -Multi-tasking - able to effectively manage and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.

     

    -Strong computer skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite as well as prior CMMS experience.

     

    -Teamwork, communication, positive attitude required to support the manufacturing environment.

     

    -Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

     

    -Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

     

    -Strong safety & reliability mentality.

     

    -Demonstrated ability to lead change in a maintenance organization.

     

    -Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma concepts and operational protocols is a plus.

     

    -Experience working with suppliers and contractors.
