At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $117.49 to $129.86 hourly, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.
Merrimack Health is the newly unified regional health system formed through the 2024 integration of Lawrence General Hospital with the Holy Family Hospitals (Methuen and Haverhill campuses). Position Overview
Recruiting for an internal medicine or family medicine primary care physician to join an established practice in the medical community for Lawrence General Hospital / Community Medical Associates.
Responsibilities
Provide the full scope of primary care services to patients, including but not limited to diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions, preventive care and health maintenance, and coordination of care.
+ Deliver comprehensive primary care across preventive, acute, and chronic disease management, including age-appropriate screenings and immunizations
+ Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients by conducting physician exams and histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostics, and prescribing medications per clinical guidelines.
+ Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, health maintenance, and monitor chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and cardiovascular disease.
+ Deliver patient-centered care with an emphasis on quality, compassion, and equity.
+ Coordinate care across specialties, hospitals, and ancillary services, including follow-up and continuity of care to ensure positive patient outcomes.
+ Mentor, guide, and incorporate a primary care patient care team with advanced practitioners.
+ Adhere to evidence-based clinical guidelines, quality measures, and regulatory standards
+ Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
+ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous clinical excellence.
+ Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care, promoting shared decision-making.
+ Comply with federal, state, and organizational policies and procedures
+ Attend department meetings, trainings, and required organizational activities
Support teaching, mentoring, or supervision of trainees or advanced practice providers, as applicable
Requirements
+ MD or DO degree from an accredited School of Medicine.
+ Completion of an accredited Residency Program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
+ Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
+ Valid medical license (or eligibility for licensure) in Massachusetts.
+ DEA registration and eligibility for hospital privileges.
+ Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems and accurate clinical documentation.
