Position Overview

As a Receiving Lead, you will work to verify that the correct merchandise is received by the facility free of damage, infestation, and in correct quantities. In this job, you will work with the receiving team and external truck drivers and will be responsible for keeping records of incoming shipments.

Description

+ Greet incoming outside Truck Drivers and direct to proper loading bay

+ Work with Receivers to verify contents and quantities of incoming shipments

+ Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming shipment

+ Record shipment data into computer system, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes

+ Enter purchase order receipts into computer system and print receiving tags for use by Receivers

+ Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for delivery of materials

+ Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications

+ Assist Supervisor with varied office and dock responsibilities including filing

+ Warehouse : Freezer (-20F to 0F)

+ Warehouse : Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

+ Office : Office Temperature (65F to 75F)

Skills

+ Specialized Knowledge : Knowledgeable of inbound procedures and experience working as a Backhaukler/Unloader and/or Receiver

+ Special Skills : Read, write, operate MHE equipment (pallet jack), other required materials handling equipment (MHE), effective communication skills, team player, attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills, Comfortable using technology

+ Physical abilities: : You will be constantly seeing, hearing, sitting and handling paperwork. Occasionally, you will be standing, walking, driving, bending, twisting feeling, reaching, stooping, climbing, balancing, carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling, and gripping items ranging from under 20 lbs. to over 60 lbs.

+ Other: : Steel Toed shoes are required; Compliance with all company policies and procedures
