What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the retail location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Observe and report any security-related irregularities or incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as needed.

+ Interact with employees, visitors, and customers to provide assistance and maintain a welcoming atmosphere while upholding security-related protocols.

+ Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any hazards or concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

+ An armed guard card or license is preferred.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
