What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by performing security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at retail and mall locations.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.

+ Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

+ Collaborate with retail staff and/or management to address security-related matters as needed.

+ Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, helping to manage the flow of people in and out of the location.

+ Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least one year of security-related experience is required.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Loss prevention experience is preferred.

+ X-ray screening experience is preferred.

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
