Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. We need a Senior Technical Trainer to lead global training delivery for our global consumer operations.
You'll build and scale training delivery operations globally, working directly with support teams and vendor partners to ensure consistent service quality. You'll launch new training sites, certify trainers, and maintain quality standards.

• Ensuring quality standards through certification and ongoing audits
• Identifying knowledge gaps through performance data before they affect customers
• Scaling training delivery while maintaining quality as operations expand
• Keeping curriculum current as products and technology evolve
Key job responsibilities
Training Delivery Leadership:
• Lead and deliver technical training programs for support agents and field technicians across multiple international sites
• Design and facilitate "Train-the-Trainer" programs to establish quality standards and knowledge transfer
• Travel to global training sites to launch new support operations and monitor training quality
Vendor Management and Quality Assurance:
• Manage and coordinate training delivery readiness with vendor partners
• Conduct certification audits for trainers and ensure adherence to performance standards
• Provide ongoing quality assurance and serve as escalation point for training quality issues
Content Development and Management:
• Partner with product, marketing and engineering teams to maintain and update curriculum as products evolve
• Develop instructor-led training materials using content creation tools and blended learning approaches
• Ensure technical accuracy while maintaining accessibility for diverse learner populations
Performance Analytics:
• Analyze customer satisfaction and performance data to identify knowledge gaps
• Track training effectiveness and ROI using learning management systems and analytics tools
• Drive measurable improvements in support team performance
Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with L&D team, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders
• Influence across multiple teams to drive training quality
• Serve as thought leader for training best practices and scalable delivery models
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
About the team
You'll start your morning reviewing performance data with the learning and development team to spot training gaps. You'll spend time on calls with trainers across time zones, conducting quality audits and providing feedback. You might be updating curriculum as features change. You'll also troubleshoot escalations—when a training cohort isn't meeting standards, you step in to diagnose and fix it.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Technical Training, Design, or a related field
- Experience in vendor management
- Experience managing large teams across multiple locations and languages
- Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership
- 7+ years of managing stakeholders in cross-functional project experience
- 8+ years of experience in technical training delivery, instructional design, or technical support leadership
- Proven track record of delivering technical training programs at scale in high-volume environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field
- Experience in the tech industry or equivalent
- Experience with adult learning instructional design methods and best practices
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track and measure training results and learning effectiveness
- Success managing global training delivery across multiple geographies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $215,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
