Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
Key job responsibilities
• Perform operations as the subject matter expert on all processes within your area of responsibility in clean room environments and launch pads.
• Independently execute and prioritize work to meet launch manifest
• Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, multimeters, optical inspection devices, micrometers, and dial calipers
• Read, write, and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
• Run functional testing on satellites, including some basic troubleshooting operations
• Use computer software programs for tests and work instructions
• Check and inspect your work after completion to ensure engineering and quality standards are met per the drawing and work instruction requirements
• Collaborate with manufacturing & design engineers to develop and document activities, including continuous improvement opportunities and work instructions
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient, safe and effective work environment
• Shift schedule will vary, depending on production/launch schedules, but majority of shift schedule will be dedicated 2nd shift.
• Must be willing and able to perform extended travel up to 25% annually, either domestically or internationally as business needs demand.
A day in the life
The Process Lead will work closely with cross-functional engineering, test, quality and operations teams on flight hardware integration processes in various clean rooms and on launch pads. This position requires skill and experience in a variety of areas, including software programs, electrical checkouts and satellite troubleshooting. In short, you will be responsible for a majority of the most critical tasks to process & integrate the satellites for launch, ensuring high quality, workmanship and safety standards are adhered to on a daily basis.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience in supporting procedures and methodologies for production computing environments
- 3+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the programmatic landscape

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $63,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $104,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
