    Job Description

    As an Inspector, you will verify that work performed on aviation articles complies with both manufacturer and customer data. Your role involves performing incoming, primary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections. You will review maintenance records, documentation, and logbooks to ensure all necessary repairs, inspections, operational checks, and documentation have been completed according to current approved technical data. You will also be authorized to approve work performed for return to service and perform tasks as assigned relating to the privileges granted under 14 CFR Part 65. All tasks must be carried out while observing company safety requirements, particularly during inspections on 737's and 737 Max aircraft.

    Responsibilities

    + Verify compliance of work performed on aviation articles with manufacturer and customer data.

    + Perform incoming, primary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections.

    + Review maintenance records, documentation, and logbooks to ensure completeness of repairs, inspections, and documentation.

    + Authorize work performed for return to service.

    + Perform tasks under 14 CFR Part 65 privileges.

    + Ensure all tasks are performed in adherence to company safety requirements.

    Essential Skills

    + Aircraft inspection experience.

    + Quality control and assurance knowledge.

    + NDT inspection skills.

    + A&P certification.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a clean hangar at Rockford International Airport, featuring two 10-story hangar bays and 238,000 square feet of space. You will work primarily on commercial aircraft, specifically 737's. Although the hangar is very clean, it can get cold between September and May due to the opening and closing of the hangar. The facility is modern, built within the last 10 years. Current open positions are on the swing shift, from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, Sunday to Wednesday.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Rockford, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $66000.00 - $72000.00/yr.
