    Job Title: Welder - 1st Shift

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated welder to oversee and participate in the fabrication, installation, assembly, and insulation of industrial ovens being built. This role requires hands-on labor work with an emphasis on MIG welding, which will constitute approximately 20-25% of the job.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform labor-intensive tasks related to the installation of insulation.

    + MIG weld beads up to 4 inches as needed.

    + Read and interpret blueprints for accurate installation and welding tasks.

    + Utilize hand and power tools for fabrication work.

    + Work with various materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum.

    + Operate a press brake and perform mechanical tasks as required.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in MIG welding techniques and processes.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work diagrams.

    + Experience with hand and power tools.

    + Knowledge of fabrication and mechanical operations.

    + Experience with materials such as stainless steel, carbon, and aluminum.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Supervisor material with a strong understanding of MIG processes.

    + Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

    + Prepared to wear steel toe shoes as part of the dress code.

    Work Environment

     

    The work will be conducted in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility. Employees are required to wear steel toe shoes, and the role involves working a 10-hour shift from 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with weekly hours ranging from 40 to 50 hours

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
