    Job Description

    The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient handling of materials in a warehouse setting. This role involves completing safety checks, managing inventory through SAP RF scanners, and maintaining high standards of productivity and safety.

    Responsibilities

    + Complete daily safety precheck of assigned equipment prior to use.

    + Receive and put away raw materials and finished goods.

    + Enter information accurately into the SAP RF scanner to maintain inventory integrity.

    + Utilize SAP RF scanners to accurately scan and pick each item on an order.

    + Pick each order line by line as displayed in the system.

    + Organize and stack items efficiently for ease of shipping and packaging.

    + Meet or exceed daily productivity targets while maintaining safety and quality.

    + Properly pick orders following picking procedures and ensure compliance.

    + Load and unload containers and trucks.

    + Assist with cycle counts.

    + Support other warehouse/production operations when order volume is low.

    + Operate a forklift in a small warehouse environment.

    + Participate in process improvements, housekeeping, and 5S initiatives.

    + Follow safety requirements for the facility and specific position, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

    + Work on projects and other assigned duties as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with general labor, material handling, production, picking, packing, loading, pallet jack, order picking, shipping and receiving, sit-down forklift, and warehouse inventory.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Less than high school education; or one to three months of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + May require a forklift license to facilitate loading.

    Work Environment

     

    This role operates in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, loud noise levels, dust, fumes, oil, or other outdoor elements. The position requires standing and walking for most of the 8-hour shift, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Employees must be able to wear PPE as required. The schedule includes a day shift from 7am to 3:30pm and a swing shift from 2:30pm to 10pm, with flexibility for earlier start times if needed.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Sacramento, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
