    Job Title: Quality Supervisor

    Job Description

    The Quality Supervisor plays a pivotal role in transforming the automotive landscape by supervising a team of UAW-represented employees. This position is crucial for ensuring process controls meet corporate standards and preventing defects from reaching customers. The role requires creativity in problem-solving, proactive measures, and steadfast dedication to resolving vehicle quality issues. A proven track record in standardization and broad knowledge of automotive engineering, manufacturing, testing, and quality is essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage day-to-day quality control and inspection activities within assigned areas.

    + Supervise hourly and SBU employees.

    + Conduct daily audits across all shifts, ensuring accountability among team members.

    + Use independent judgment to commence or cease production based on quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

    + Direct workforce compliance with government regulations and applicable standards.

    + Identify and document process improvements.

    + Communicate results to quality and plant management.

    + Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment.

    + Lead and support meetings at all company levels, including leadership.

    + Establish and maintain internal and external partnerships.

    + Provide technical leadership and direct cross-functional teams in quality initiatives.

    + Represent the 'Voice of the Customer' to plant teams.

    + Perform process audits using standard checklists.

    + Review critical processes and stations daily.

    + Report monthly process conformity scorecards for the Plant.

    + Review and decide on process standard deviations.

    + Monitor and implement new regulatory and corporate requirements.

    + Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.

    + Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to resolve issues.

    + Provide technical liaison support between departments.

    + Train and coach employees on quality requirements.

    + Implement standardization of best practices to ensure product quality.

    + Supervise vehicle inspections and data analysis.

    + Train and coach both salary and bargaining unit employees.

    + Recommend and implement cost-effective error-proofing strategies.

    + Support manufacturing facilities with launch readiness assessments.

    Essential Skills

    + Quality assurance and control expertise.

    + Supervision skills.

    + Experience with calipers and quality inspection.

    + Strong knowledge of MS Office or Google Suite.

    + Ability to analyze and translate data into visual representations.

    + Interpersonal skills for teamwork.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 3+ years of related experience.

    + Planning and problem-solving skills.

    + Flexible shift schedule availability.

    + Experience in manufacturing or assembly plants.

    + Lead Auditor Certifications and practical experience.

    + Supervisory experience with hourly personnel.

    + Basic knowledge of statistics.

    + Previous leadership experience is a plus.

    + Engineering degree or equivalent is advantageous.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $32.76 - $32.76/hr.
