    Job Title: Aircraft Painter** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking skilled Aircraft Painters to join our team, focusing on painting and preparing parts for Boeing aircraft and their components. The role involves interpreting technical documents and operating specialized equipment to ensure high-quality finishes on aircraft parts.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, planning documents, sketches, engineering orders, electronic work instructions, charts, and graphs to determine the methods and sequences of operations required for processing and painting.

    + Set up and operate chemical milling equipment to remove metal from sheet metal parts and assemblies using etching solutions.

    + Operate ovens, furnaces, and quenching tanks to heat-treat metal parts made from various metals, ensuring minimal warpage and even heat distribution.

    + Set up and operate equipment for anodizing, electroplating, or cleaning metal parts and assemblies, maintaining chemical solutions as required.

    + Utilize various paint spraying equipment to apply primer, protective, or finish coats on aircraft and related parts.

    + Mix and thin paints and other surfacing materials as needed.

    + Operate robotic spray coating equipment, managing spray flow rates and travel speed for precise application.

    + Apply finish coats requiring special care to avoid inconsistencies, including hand brushwork when necessary.

    + Perform rework and touch-ups as needed.

    + Record manufacturing data and statistics using manual or computer-based systems.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of experience in aircraft painting.

    + Proficiency in blueprint reading and industrial painting techniques.

    + Experience with paint preparation, spray guns, and touch-up painting.

    + Familiarity with Boeing and Airbus aircraft.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in aviation painting, sanding, and aircraft maintenance.

    + Ability to work in a paint booth environment.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $48.00/hr.
