    Job Title: Service Technician** **Job Description

     

    The role of a Service Technician involves performing repairs to mobile office trailers, including framing and finish carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, running gear, and all other aspects of modular building repair. The position requires light carpentry, electrical work, and some HVAC tasks, though no certifications are needed. Service Technicians are expected to maintain proper inventory levels of all equipment, tools, and parts needed for service tasks, as well as maintain a clean and organized work area while ensuring safety practices are followed.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform repairs to mobile office trailers, including carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, and painting.

    + Conduct light carpentry, electrical, and HVAC tasks.

    + Maintain proper inventory levels of equipment, tools, and parts.

    + Keep work area clean and organized.

    + Ensure a safe work environment and adhere to company safety policies.

    + Provide courteous customer service, explaining repairs and services to customers.

    + Ensure trailers are ready for scheduled delivery dates.

    + Perform service-related tasks in the yard as requested.

    + Conduct service calls in branch territories as assigned.

    + Attend bi-monthly safety meetings.

    + Close-up multi-sectional units and ensure doors and windows are shut on idle fleet.

    + Assist in ordering materials and unloading material deliveries.

    + Operate forklifts.

    + Perform office maintenance and repair as assigned.

    + Perform system checks and maintenance on HVAC systems per company guidelines.

    + Ensure routine maintenance is performed according to established schedules and procedures.

    Essential Skills

    + Interest in construction and working with hand tools.

    + Skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

    + Experience with flooring, carpet, and plywood.

    + Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School diploma or equivalent.

    + Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

    + Basic computer knowledge.

    + Good communication skills for interacting with customers and salespeople.

    Work Environment

    The work takes place in a clean and organized yard environment, working on one modular at a time. The team will either be working on refurbished modular units or the units that hold tools. Production typically takes 30 - 35 hours to complete a modular, aiming for one per week based on client needs.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vacaville, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
