Role Overview Brightstar Care of Chicago is seeking a part-time HR Generalist to support the people operations in our growing home care organization. This role will focus on employee lifecycle support, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations for a workforce that includes caregivers, nurses, and office staff. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable working in a regulated healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities * Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and personnel file management * Assist with compliance-related HR processes (I-9s, licensure tracking, trainings, policy acknowledgments) * Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures * Coordinate with payroll and benefits vendors to ensure accurate employee records * Support performance documentation, corrective actions, and employee relations matters * Assist with maintaining HR policies and employee handbook updates * Help track required trainings, certifications, and annual acknowledgments * Support leadership with ad hoc HR projects as needed Qualifications * 3+ years of HR experience (healthcare or home care strongly preferred) * Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices * Experience supporting hourly, field-based workforces a plus * Strong attention to detail and documentation * Comfortable working independently in a part-time role * HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus but not required What We Offer * Flexible schedule (approximately 20 hours per week) * Opportunity to play a meaningful role in a mission-driven healthcare organization * Competitive hourly compensation, commensurate with experience IND123#
