TRB ATTENDEES
We are looking for Transportation Engineering and Transportation Planning Interns interested in working on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects. You’ll work with the best Professional Engineers and Project Managers in the business. We want you to be empowered to deliver bold solutions for everyday living.
Jacobs' Transportation Group encompasses a diverse range of expertise and sectors, including:
• Rail and Transit: Multimodal facilities, automated guideways, paratransit systems, bus facilities and depots, aerial, at-grade, and underground stations, elevated structures, tunnels, and line structures.
• Bridges and Tunnels: Comprehensive design, construction management, and inspection services.
• Highways and Roads: Expertise in planning, design, and maintenance.
• Aviation: Services related to airport infrastructure and operations.
• Ports and Marinetime: Port planning, capital projects, maintenance, container terminals, intermodal integration, jetties, quays, and coastal defense schemes.
You’ll be accountable for engineering design tasks specific to your group as well as supporting our Project Management team; as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You’ll be surrounded by the expert mentorship of Professional Engineers and plenty of opportunities to help you thrive in your new career.
**This requisition is being posted to create a talent pipeline for a conference recruiting event. * In pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation/Urban Planning, or related engineering fields.
* Knowledge of or experience using CADD/Design software (preferably AutoCAD/MicroStation/OpenRoads/Geopak)
* Strong self-motivation, problem-solving, and team-oriented work practices with excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and multitasking ability
Ideally, You May Also Have:
* Authorization to work within the United States without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.
* Previous internship or project experience in transportation planning or engineering, including conducting traffic impact studies, preparing preliminary engineering reports for roadway and transit infrastructure projects, evaluating transportation system efficiency, and/or analyzing traffic flow patterns and multimodal networks.
