    Job Title: General Production Worker - 1st shift- 19/hr

    Job Description

    This role involves using hand tools and equipment to perform cleaning tasks on machinery and work areas. You will be responsible for tasks such as cleaning ash from products, shoveling, and cleaning oil spills from areas around machinery. This role requires physical activities like lifting, stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and crawling. The ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted and the ability to climb ladders or stairs is essential. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for certain areas, including double hearing protection, fire-resistant coveralls, eye protection, and hard hats.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform cleaning tasks using hand tools and equipment.

    + Clean ash from products and shovel into buckets.

    + Clean oil and spills from areas around machinery.

    + Conduct overall cleaning of entire machinery during shutdowns.

    + Lift and handle weights of up to 50 lbs unassisted.

    + Climb ladders or stairs as needed.

    + Use PPE as required, including double hearing protection and fire-resistant coveralls.

    + Prepare to work in hot, dirty, loud, dusty, and oily environments.

    Essential Skills

    + General labor and production experience.

    + Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

    + Experience in cleaning, hydro blasting, and power washing.

    + Ability to work varied hours, if required.

    + Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with power washing or hydro blasting equipment.

    + Understanding of industrial cleaning, confined spaces, or respirator use.

    + Potential experience in landscaping or farming is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    Work as a third-party contractor at a steel mill in Delta, OH, as part of a 45-person team. Be prepared for a hot, dirty, loud, dusty, and oily work environment. The standard workweek consists of 40 hours with an 8-hour shift starting at 6:30 am. Overtime may involve starting as early as 2 am. PPE requirements include steel toe boots, eye protection, a hard hat, and FR coveralls.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delta, OH.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
