Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our team, responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment in line with our company standards. This role involves performing all phases of the mixing operation, understanding the intricacies of ingredient handling, and making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal production quality.
Responsibilities
+ Operate and monitor production equipment according to company standards.
+ Perform all phases of the mixing operation, including knowledge of ingredient types and locations, as well as measuring and weighing processes.
+ Make appropriate adjustments to water and yeast relative to temperature and humidity without direct assistance.
+ Monitor dough quality, identify problems, and make necessary adjustments.
+ Assist in training new mixer operators and stay updated on new work methods and procedures.
+ Assist in other work areas as directed by the supervisor.
Essential Skills
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
+ Willingness to work in a temperature-controlled environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in food manufacturing or production preferred.
+ Any previous GMP experience.
+ Bilingual skills are preferred.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, modern facility with a supportive team. The production environment is temperature-controlled, ensuring comfort and safety. Flexible shifts are available, with the first shift running from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and the third shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, following a rotating schedule of 3 days on/4 off one week, and 4 days on/3 off the next.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
