    Aerotek is hiring for a **Bandsaw Machine Operator** position located in Lakeland, FL.

    Details:

    **Shift** 6am to 4pm | Monday to Friday

    **Location** Lakeland, FL

    **Pay** $20 to $23 an hour, depending on experience & interview.

    **Job Title** : Bandsaw Operator

    Overview:

    The Band Saw Machine Operator is responsible for cutting and fabricating steel components used in the production of heavy construction equipment and conveyor systems. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced industrial environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Operate band saw machinery to cut steel according to specified dimensions and tolerances.

     

    Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.

     

    Perform routine machine setup, adjustments, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

     

    Inspect finished cuts for accuracy and quality, making corrections as needed.

     

    Handle and position heavy steel materials safely using appropriate tools and equipment.

     

    Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and PPE requirements.

     

    Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    Prior experience operating band saws or similar metal-cutting equipment is a plus.

     

    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements is a plus

     

    Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills is a plus

     

    Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy steel materials required

     

    Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards required

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeland, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
