    Job Title: Mechanical Assembler (2nd Shift)

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembler for our 2nd shift who is willing to work in various departments and is eager to grow within the company. The candidate will be involved in assembling hatches and panels, preparing panels for painting, packaging completed assemblies, and filling orders. Cross-training opportunities will be available to fill in as needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble hatches and panels using hand and power tools such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, and torque tools.

    + Work off blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.

    + Prepare panels for painting by inserting insulation and hanging panels on hooks.

    + Package completed assemblies and manage order fulfillment.

    + Participate in cross-training across various departments.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 6 months of mechanical assembly experience.

    + Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

    + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

    + Competence in using a tape measure.

    + Mechanically inclined with the ability to use power tools.

    + Possession of a high school diploma.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in a metal manufacturing environment is beneficial.

    + Familiarity with automotive or similar assembly tasks is advantageous.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a metal manufacturing setting, similar to an auto body shop. The 2nd shift hours are Monday to Thursday, 2:30pm to 12:00am, with Friday hours from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. There may be mandatory overtime on Fridays and occasional Saturday shifts. The dress code requires pants and a short-sleeve shirt or longer, with steel-toed boots being mandatory.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
