Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and reliable machine operators to join our team at a metal stamping facility on 1st and 2nd shift. You will be responsible for operating one of our 20 presses, working collaboratively in teams of up to four. No prior specific machine operation or stamping press experience is required, but you must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

+ Operate one of the 20 metal stamping presses.

+ Collaborate in a team to place raw materials on the press.

+ Ensure safety by following procedures, such as using sensors.

+ Visually inspect finished parts and use gauges to ensure specifications are met.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

+ Wearing steel-toed boots.

+ A steady job history.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in steel/stamping.

+ Any press operation experience.

Work Environment

The metal stamping facility supports the automotive and heavy equipment industries. It is a loud environment and not temperature controlled, so expect it to be hot during summer. The culture is laid-back, with everyone working as a team. The facility is unionized, although joining is not mandatory. The dress code includes jeans and steel-toed boots. **1st shift is 5:00am - 3:30pm (Monday - Thursday) and 2nd shift is 3:30pm - 2:00am (Monday - Thursday).**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bluffton, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.48 - $19.48/hr.
