    Job Title: Construction Materials Shipping/Receiving Manager

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dynamic Shipping and Receiving Manager to lead and develop our shipping and receiving department. This role involves overseeing the efficient flow of building materials and supplies to and from a construction site, ensuring accurate inventory tracking, timely deliveries, and compliance with safety regulations. The manager will be responsible for managing a team dedicated to receiving, storing, and distributing materials, while collaborating with project managers and vendors to maintain project timelines and budgets.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee the efficient flow of building materials and supplies to and from the construction site.

    + Ensure accurate inventory tracking and timely deliveries.

    + Manage a team responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials.

    + Collaborate with project managers and vendors to maintain project timelines and budgets.

    + Ensure compliance with safety regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong organizational and planning skills.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with various teams.

    + Proficiency in inventory management systems and relevant software.

    + Knowledge of construction materials and industry standards.

    + Ability to manage a team effectively.

    + Forklift operation skills may be required depending on the site.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 5+ years of related Shipping and Receiving Management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a leadership position.

    + Strong knowledge of logistics and inventory software.

    + Understanding compliance regulations and safety procedures.

    + Certifications in supply chain or logistics management can be advantageous, such as a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) accreditation.

    Work Environment

     

    This role may require working nights and weekends. The environment will involve using technologies such as inventory management systems, RF scanners, and forklifts, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of construction materials.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
