Job Description
Join a dynamic team working on a Microsoft data center project located in the Phoenix, AZ metro area. This role offers the opportunity to manage and lead construction efforts for a high-profile project with potential for contract extensions beyond the initial 6+ month term. The position includes travel with mileage reimbursement for mobilization and demobilization, and offers a per diem rate up to 90% of the GSA maximum. There are no set home rotations, as the schedule will be dependent on project needs.
+ Manage the authorization and daily scope of work for the project.
+ Oversee vendor management and subcontractor relationships.
+ Develop and maintain a schedule and cost-effective plan for project completion.
+ Collaborate with staff to create preconstruction estimates and budgets for materials and labor.
+ Coordinate and schedule work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers.
+ Inspect work regularly for quality and timeliness and prepare progress reports.
+ Make recommendations for necessary modifications based on inspections.
+ Collaborate with architects, engineers, attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
+ Obtain required permits and licenses and execute construction contracts.
+ Monitor project budget and communicate any variances.
+ Maintain records related to costs and inventory.
+ Address safety violations and other deficiencies.
+ Collaborate with union representatives to clarify procedures.
Qualifications
+ 5 years of experience in data center construction or industrial projects.
+ Previous experience as a lead superintendent on data center or mission-critical projects.
+ Proficiency with Procore.
+ Experience with schedule and vendor/subcontractor management.
+ Strong construction management skills.
+ Knowledge of OSHA 30 regulations.
+ Experience in managing fiber pulls and installation of new racks within existing conduits.
+ Ability to work with a few subcontractors on-site.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Work Environment
The work environment involves typical construction project settings with a focus on data center and mission-critical facilities. The project will follow a standard work schedule with limited overtime expected. Dress code is in accordance with safety standards, and equipment necessary for construction management will be provided. The role requires travel, with mileage reimbursement for mobilization and demobilization, and a per diem rate set at approximately 90% of the GSA maximum.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
