Job Title: Medical Assistant - OncologyJob Description

Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, specializing in oncology, where you will play a vital role in patient care and clinic operations. This position offers a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth and development within the field.

Responsibilities

+ Room patients and prepare them for examination by recording vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.

+ Stock and maintain exam and treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary supplies are ordered and available.

+ Assist with phlebotomy and other medical procedures as required.

+ Utilize electronic medical records and electronic health records to document patient information accurately.

Essential Skills

+ At least 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

+ Proficiency in oncology-related medical assisting tasks.

+ Strong customer service skills and ability to manage patient interactions efficiently.

+ Experience with medical terminology and administrative skills.

+ Ability to manually measure blood pressure as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Certification as a Medical Assistant is required.

+ Experience with electronic medical records and electronic health records systems.

+ Ability to manage the rooming of 50-70 patients a day.

Work Environment

Work hours are from 8:15 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts. You will work in a collaborative and supportive environment that values team building and an open-door policy. The role requires working at The Woodlands location on Mondays and Fridays, and at the Conroe location from Tuesday to Thursday. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conroe, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
