Job Title: Building Enclosure ConsultantJob Description

As a Building Enclosure Consultant, you will create comprehensive technical reports for clients, ensuring adherence to energy building codes and design guidelines. You will engage in site visits, conduct condition assessments, troubleshoot issues, and perform field testing. Collaborating with MEP and architectural teams, you will apply your expertise in roofing, waterproofing, curtain walls, and envelope systems to ensure quality control in design projects.

Responsibilities

+ Create technical reports adhering to energy building codes and design guidelines.

+ Perform site visits, condition assessments, troubleshooting, and field testing.

+ Collaborate with MEP and architectural teams on roofing, waterproofing, curtain walls, and envelope systems.

+ Ensure quality control in design meets project requirements.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in commissioning and Revit.

+ Knowledge of exterior wall, roofing, and waterproofing.

+ Experience in architectural detailing of building envelope systems and building sciences.

+ Familiarity with facades, curtain walls, glazing systems, air barriers, roofing, and waterproofing.

+ Experience with WUFI Pro, Therm, and Window software.

+ Ability to perform design, troubleshooting, mechanical engineering, and condition assessments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Building Sciences.

+ 6+ years of experience in the Building Envelope industry.

+ Effective written and communication skills.

+ Ability to collaborate with internal and external project teams.

+ Experience with software such as Revit, Bluebeam, WUFI Pro, and Therm.

This is a Permanent position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
