    Job Title: Quality Control Analyst

    Job Description

    As a Quality Control Analyst, you will conduct routine and non-routine analytical testing of APIs, finished products, compounded sterile preparations, and stability samples using advanced analytical techniques such as UPLC/HPLC. You will be responsible for preparing mobile phases, standards, and samples, while ensuring the proper handling and disposal of materials. Your role will involve operating and maintaining analytical instruments, including UPLC, HPLC, and Empower software, and assisting in troubleshooting. You will execute and optimize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment and instrumentation in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Your analytical skills will be key in accurately analyzing, interpreting, and reporting experimental results while maintaining detailed laboratory notebooks and electronic records.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct routine and non-routine analytical testing of APIs, finished products, and stability samples using UPLC/HPLC.

    + Prepare mobile phases, standards, and samples, ensuring proper handling and disposal of materials.

    + Operate and maintain analytical instruments (UPLC, HPLC, Empower software) and assist in troubleshooting.

    + Execute and optimize SOPs for equipment and instrumentation in compliance with cGMP.

    + Analyze, interpret, and report experimental results accurately, maintaining detailed laboratory notebooks and electronic records.

    + Support stability studies, technology transfer activities, and cross-functional projects.

    + Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FDA, ICH, USP) and company policies.

    + Collaborate with QC and QA teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, or Biology with a Chemistry Minor.

    + 1-2 years of experience with UPLC/HPLC (UPLC highly preferred).

    + Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Exposure to Pharmaceutical/FDA environments.

    + Knowledge of cGMP and Empower software.

    + Previous life sciences experience is highly preferred.

    The Quality Control Analyst will work in a clean, state-of-the-art laboratory facility, as well as spend time in the office. The environment offers a small company feel with a family atmosphere, providing excellent training and growth opportunities in a flexible work setting. The emphasis on automation of critical laboratory processes minimizes human error, ensuring efficient and accurate testing and analysis. The company is a majority women-owned, fully-integrated laboratory, focusing on pharmaceutical products and compounded sterile or nonsterile preparations, with development activities spanning six major industries.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vernon Hills, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
