    Job Title: QC TechnicianJob Description

     

    The QC Technician position involves working Monday to Thursday from 7 PM to 7 AM, with occasional Friday shifts. The role requires spending nearly all working hours on the production floor, utilizing computers positioned along the production lines to document data and identify non-conformances. The technician is tasked with catching products that do not meet specifications and escalating issues to the QA Lead. The role begins with setting up quality equipment and ensuring its functionality, followed by conducting visual inspections to verify clear labels and barcodes.

    Responsibilities

    + Always understand and demonstrate safe work practices while working.

    + Monitor the statistical process control (SPC) software suite called Gainseeker.

    + Monitor, measure, and document line processes to ensure conformance to product Master specifications.

    + Examine and document packaging components and finished product assembly for conformance to product Master specifications.

    + Program, calibrate, and assist in the setup of Hi-Speed check weighers, Videojet, and Marsh coders.

    + Program and monitor the Automated Inventory Management system for identifying and tracking finished production.

    + Place non-conforming product on hold for disposition by the QC Manager.

    + Pull product retain samples.

    + Comply with all company policies and procedures.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with GMP and FDA standards.

    + Proficiency in quality inspection and assurance.

    + Knowledge of regulated environments and document control.

    + Familiarity with Microsoft Office and quality check procedures.

    + Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and conversions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma minimum with relevant experience or an Associate's degree in a lab-related discipline.

    + Previous experience in a regulated or Quality Control environment is preferred.

    + Strong attention to detail and interest in the industry.

    + Excellent soft skills with a desire to learn and take on new responsibilities.

    + Ability to see the larger picture and ensure precision in small details and labels.

    Work Environment

    The QC Technician will spend nearly all their time on the plant floor, with occasional time in the lab. The position requires standing and conducting inspections throughout the day. This role offers exposure to the pesticide and home protection manufacturing business within crop science, providing opportunities to learn about cutting-edge products and the potential for career advancement.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
