    Job Title: Process Control Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Process Control Engineer to join our team. This role involves overseeing and enhancing control systems across various industrial processes, particularly within the natural gas and propane sectors. Your expertise will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and implement control sequences and PLC programming from P&IDs.

    + Support the startup and commissioning of control systems for complex industrial or pipeline processes.

    + Design wiring diagrams and control panel designs from P&IDs.

    + Program and maintain SCADA software platforms and PLC platforms.

    + Ensure the integrity and reliability of control systems in natural gas and propane processing, storage, and handling facilities.

    + Utilize computer software and applications, including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite, to present and manage business information.

    + Work under pressure and exhibit good judgment while handling potentially volatile commodities.

    + Establish effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors, and peers.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

    + 5+ years of proven experience with industrial control systems.

    + Knowledge of process control theory and electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical instrumentation systems.

    + Experience with Industrial Control System (ICS) protocols.

    + Competence in at least two SCADA software platforms and two PLC platforms.

    + Proficiency in developing wiring diagrams and control panel designs from P&IDs.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in Electrical Engineering and PLC programming.

    + Project management capabilities.

    + Deep knowledge of SCADA systems.

    + Experience in P&ID development and maintenance.

    + Ability to write and present ideas logically and concisely.

    Work Environment

    This position requires onsite work five days a week with travel to various sites as needed. The role involves a 50/50 work split between office and field locations, with mileage reimbursement provided.     This is a Permanent position based out of Ashburn, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.

     

    up to 10% bonus, 22 days pto, 4% 401k

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in Ashburn,VA.
