    We are seeking a dedicated QA Technician to join our team on the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This role is essential in maintaining the high-quality standards of our food manufacturing processes. The QA Technician will be responsible for ensuring compliance, coordinating investigations, and supporting our quality assurance initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    + Review and approve records to ensure compliance with quality standards.

    + Identify deviations and initiate corrective actions, including root cause analyses.

    + Manage the disposition of raw materials and products as Hold/Release/Quarantine and update the electronic WMS system.

    + Conduct basic food safety, cGMP, and quality-related training for new hires.

    + Assist in the development of SOPs related to manufacturing processes and compliance training.

    + Support audits by regulatory and third-party agencies.

    + Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual environmental testing as part of the Environmental Monitoring Program.

    + Collect raw materials for testing and sample finished products to gather data and identify sensory attributes.

    + Evaluate sensory characteristics for product approval and shelf life studies.

    + Work with production personnel to correct processes when products are out of compliance.

    + Convey test results to the appropriate personnel and follow up as needed.

    + Complete audits based on the production schedule.

    + Conduct facility environmental testing and promote GMP practices.

    Essential Skills

    + Quality control and assurance expertise.

    + Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, GFSI, and PCQI.

    + Experience in food safety and food manufacturing.

    + Proficiency in batch record review.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 2+ years of experience in Food or GMP Manufacturing Quality.

    + A degree in the sciences is preferred.

    + Training or experience in SQF, HACCP, GFSI, or PCQI is a plus.

    Work Environment

    This position is located in a dynamic food manufacturing plant with a 50/50 split between lab and floor work. Training will be provided for 3 to 6 months. The company is rapidly growing and expanding to a second shift due to increased customer demand.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oak Creek, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
