    Job Title: Process EngineerJob Description

     

    Join our team as a Process Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and developing processes to enhance production efficiency, quality, and reliability. We seek a candidate with strong analytical skills and a passion for continuous improvement, who is committed to maintaining a safe and collaborative work environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet production goals, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to process engineering.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and product development, to support new product introductions and process improvements.

    + Conduct root cause analyses for process deviations, product defects, and equipment failures, implementing corrective and preventive measures.

    + Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

    + Evaluate and recommend equipment and technology upgrades to enhance production capabilities and quality.

    + Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to optimize workflows and eliminate waste.

    + Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

    + Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and opportunities for process enhancement.

    + Utilize statistical process controls (SPC) to make data-driven decisions.

    + Use fundamental problem-solving tools, as well as advanced technologies to innovate and improve process workflows and outcomes.

    + Mentor junior team members and operators in process fundamentals.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial) or a related field.

    + 3+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a high mix, high reliability manufacturing environment.

    + Proficiency in process design, optimization tools, and statistical analysis software (SPC).

    + Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and other continuous improvement tools.

    + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a detail-oriented approach.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.

    + Knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with CAD software and process simulation tools is a plus.

    + Certification in Lean or Six Sigma (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) is a plus.

    + A technology-forward mindset with experience in using advanced tools to enhance work output is highly desired.

    This is a Contract position based out of Hollister, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/hr.
