Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description
As a Controls Engineer, you will develop advanced control systems for robotic manipulators and similar electromechanical systems. Your work will include motion control, servo tuning, and the development of dynamic models. You will also engage in modeling and simulations using MATLAB and implement software on real-time platforms. Additionally, you will complete controls-related machine design analysis and select actuators, sensors, and other components to support R&D projects.
Responsibilities
+ Develop advanced control systems for robotic manipulators and electromechanical systems.
+ Conduct motion control and servo tuning.
+ Develop dynamic models and perform modeling and simulations in MATLAB.
+ Implement software on real-time platforms.
+ Complete machine design analysis and selection of controls-related components.
+ Support R&D projects as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient in general mathematical modeling and analysis.
+ Familiarity with dynamic system modeling, motion control algorithms, and control systems theory (PID, feedforward).
+ Hands-on experience with control systems, filter design, and tuning.
+ Proficient in MATLAB for kinematic and dynamic modeling.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in C, C++ programming for Linux and embedded systems.
+ Experience with microcontrollers and sensors, prototyping, and troubleshooting.
+ State estimation and system identification (model-based and data-based).
+ Theoretical background in electrical and electronic system design.
+ Experience in digital and analog circuit design, embedded systems, and power electronics design.
+ Thermal modeling and analysis.
+ Lab skills, including soldering components and rework of PCBAs.
+ B.S. degree in Computer, Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautic or similar engineering field with a minimum of 2 years of work experience.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
