We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The role involves performing inspections of finished products, completing necessary paperwork, conducting processing verification checks, and evaluating finished goods and work in progress. Our goal is to continually improve day-to-day operations to maximize quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct routine floor audits of production and packaging areas to confirm correct product composition, specification, storage, packaging, labeling, and coding.
+ Assist in the completion of compliance checks for production runs at the scheduled frequency using either paper or electronic records.
+ Monitor facility activities with daily inspections and complete pre-operational swabbing and quality program records daily.
+ Report quality-related failures or potential food safety issues to the quality manager and department managers as required.
+ Assist QA Assistant Manager with the execution of the sales and customer sample request programs.
+ Initiate 'hold product' procedures for products manufactured out of specification and communicate with affected departments regarding disposition and status.
+ Initiate 'defective material reports' for products not able to be used, supplied by vendors.
+ Maintain and inspect retain samples for product quality issues.
+ Execute environmental monitoring, product testing, chemical testing, and glass inspections for the facility.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred.
+ Food Manufacturing QA experience is a plus.
+ Fluent in Spanish.
+ Previous experience with Deacom, RedZone, or other ERP systems.
+ Basic understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
+ Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing floor environment. You will spend time between mixing/blending rooms and the production floor, with a majority of your shift spent on your feet. Noise levels can be moderate, and you must be willing and able to lift over 20lbs. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 6am to 2:30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkins, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
