The Test Engineer will support the development, qualification, and acceptance of advanced avionics systems for spacecraft applications. The Hardware Test Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting test campaigns to ensure flight readiness, focusing on environmental testing, functional testing of mission-critical hardware, and EMI/EMC testing.
Responsibilities
+ Plan, execute, and document test campaigns for advanced avionics systems.
+ Conduct environmental testing to ensure flight readiness of hardware.
+ Perform functional testing of mission-critical hardware.
+ Execute EMI/EMC testing for hardware components.
+ Develop and write detailed test plans and reports.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with industry standards such as NASA, ESA, MIL-STD, and DO-160.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in hardware testing and environmental testing.
+ Experience with EMI/EMC testing.
+ Strong technical writing skills for test plans and reports.
+ Hands-on experience with vibration and shock testing.
+ Working knowledge of industry standards (NASA, ESA, MIL-STD, DO-160).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field.
+ Experience with testing hardware for space flight applications is preferred, but defense applications will be considered.
Work Environment
This role offers significant ownership responsibilities and the ability to set precedents for future testing processes within the company. The company has a team of 40 employees, primarily engineers, and this will be the first Hardware Test Engineer on staff.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $73.00/hr.
