Job Title: Interior DesignerJob Description
Assist in all design phases for various projects, including amenity projects, office renovations, fitness centers, lobbies, ground-up office building projects, renovations to existing structures, and interior design projects. The main responsibility is in FF&E / material and finish selection.
Responsibilities
+ Participate in construction documentation and administration activities.
+ Coordinate with clients, project teams, and consultants.
+ Provide exceptional, proactive, and friendly client service.
+ Inspire, teach, and lead by example, mentoring architectural design staff.
+ Complete assignments within the given schedule.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
+ 3-4+ years of experience in interior design.
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience with ground-up construction projects and renovation projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Positive, outgoing, energetic, and a fun team player.
+ Experience in corporate interiors and interior architecture.
Work Environment
The position is within a Chicago-based design firm, recognized as the 'Architect of the Year' by the Chicago Real Estate Community. The firm consists of 50 professionals located in the Chicago Loop, providing a full range of design services. The work environment features an open studio layout with cubicles, a collaborative atmosphere with lots of natural light, and a business casual dress code. The office operates from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a one-hour swing shift acceptable, and includes a break room for employee convenience. Each project team typically comprises 5-7 members, including a Project Manager, 2-3 Architects, and 2-3 Interior Designers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
