Job Title: Field EngineerJob Description

This position provides engineering knowledge and expertise to the Technical Services department with an emphasis on consumer products. It requires both technical and interpersonal aptitude to fully initiate and complete technical assignments, focusing on product performance and customer service.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct technically valid field investigations, communicate results effectively, and coordinate follow-up.

+ Provide technical training to field sales staff and customers as needed.

+ Participate in the design and creation of training materials that enhance brand value and improve customer effectiveness in using products.

+ Organize and plan training sessions, work with different vendors to cover necessary material for training, and manage engineering information.

+ Demonstrate increasing skill with technical information while providing technical support to internal staff and customers.

+ Communicate with vendors for effective involvement and coordinate activities to achieve goals within predetermined timelines and resource limits.

+ Complete other tasks as required by Technical Services management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in field investigations, product, and service evaluation.

+ Strong communication skills for technical education and vendor coordination.

Work Environment

This is a high travel role with 50% of the time spent onsite with customers. Typically, weekends are spent at home. The work environment offers the possibility to go direct with clients and assures a steady flow of work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cornelius, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
