    Job Title: Design Engineer

    Job Description

    The Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing engineered solutions by translating customer requirements into tailored designs that provide superior value to global customers.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform appropriate engineering design and calculations for product orders.

    + Update and manage design tools, design data, base unit data, CAD models, and drawings.

    + Provide engineering support worldwide for global and regional products.

    + Independently develop product solutions within defined parameters and scope.

    + Collaborate with customers and sales to develop product requirements.

    + Work cross-functionally to ensure designs meet manufacturability, serviceability, and customer requirements.

    + Continually develop and improve design tools/methods to enhance design accuracy/efficiency and product quality.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

    + 2+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience with welded steel structures, including 3D CAD modeling, drafting, and BOM management.

    + Experience with hydraulic circuit design and troubleshooting.

    + Knowledge of manufacturing processes including welding, machining, and assembly.

    + Proficiency in design software such as SolidWorks, and experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and 3D CAD modeling.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Familiarity with forklift trucks, lift systems, or similar industrial equipment.

    Work Environment

    The role is set in an industrial manufacturing and office setting. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8.5 hours per day and eligible for hybrid work (2 days working from home)

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Springfield, OH.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in Springfield,OH.
