    Job Title: Bacteriology Team Member - Quality Testing Seed Health Lab

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team in the Quality Testing Seed Health lab located in Woodland, CA, where you will play a vital role in bacteriology testing processes. Your primary responsibilities will include spread plating samples, conducting PCR assays, reading plates, and preparing buffers. You will also have the opportunity to work in a greenhouse setting as part of some testing processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform spread plating of samples and conduct PCR assays.

    + Read and interpret test plates accurately.

    + Prepare and manage buffers for various assays.

    + Work in a greenhouse setting for specific testing processes.

    + Maintain lab supplies and adhere to safety standards.

    + Collaborate with team members to support routine testing across different Seed Health groups.

    + Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in routine testing.

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Proficiency in molecular biology and scientific procedures.

    + Effective time management and teamwork abilities.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in greenhouse work is a plus.

    + Experience in laboratory science is preferred.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is a laboratory setting within the Quality Testing Seed Health lab in Woodland, CA. Team members are expected to adhere to strict safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace. The role may occasionally require working in a greenhouse, necessitating adaptability to varying conditions.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Woodland, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
