Description

Robert Half Management Resources is seeking a Senior Accountant to support one of our valued CPA firm clients on a hybrid engagement based in West Los Angeles. This role is based in Los Angeles, California, and offers the opportunity to work in the dynamic financial services industry. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in preparing tax-ready financials, managing complex accounting tasks, and supporting bookkeeping staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and finalize profit and loss statements and balance sheets for multiple clients.

• Create tax-ready financial documents, including year-end close files and 1099 processing.

• Perform accrual accounting and assist in transitioning accounts from cash basis.

• Supervise and provide guidance to bookkeeping staff to ensure precision and completeness.

• Maintain organized client records and processes to support continuity during extended absences.

• Conduct detailed reviews to ensure compliance with accounting standards and deadlines.

• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for client accounts.

• Manage off-cycle payroll processes with accuracy and timeliness.

• Ensure proper handling of 401(k) filings and other related accounting tasks.

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to maintain seamless accounting workflows.

Requirements • Extensive accounting experience within a financial services or business management firm.

• Proficiency in both accrual and cash accounting methods.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as Gusto and QuickBooks Online.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts and oversee bookkeeping staff.

• Strong organizational skills, capable of meeting critical deadlines.

• Expertise in preparing financial statements and conducting account reconciliations.

• In-depth knowledge of journal entries, general ledger management, and month-end close processes.

• Excellent analytical skills to review and interpret financial data effectively.
