Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of essential accounting processes. Responsibilities:
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Handle accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices and managing vendor payments.
• Oversee accounts receivable duties, such as tracking payments and generating customer invoices.
• Prepare and execute billing operations to support timely and accurate invoicing.
• Enter financial data into accounting systems with precision and attention to detail.
• Process invoices and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Utilize accounting software tools like Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage and analyze financial data.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.
• Monitor and report on financial transactions to support decision-making processes.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation for audit and reporting purposes. Requirements • Proven experience in account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
• Strong proficiency in billing processes and invoice management.
• Demonstrated ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain financial records.
• Familiarity with accounting software, including Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing financial documentation.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Capacity to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and procedures to ensure compliance.
