Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our client's team. This role is pivotal in managing accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial reporting, team leadership, and a strong background in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee core accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, cash flow monitoring, revenue recognition, and fixed asset accounting.

• Prepare and present detailed financial statements, forecasts, and reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.

• Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance on daily operations and specialized projects.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards.

• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to enhance operational efficiency.

• Direct budgeting processes, projections, bonus calculations, and variance analysis.

• Manage audit processes, internal controls, and risk assessments to safeguard financial integrity.

• Support the preparation of year-end reports and tax documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a preference for candidates from accredited institutions.

• A minimum of 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, specifically within the healthcare industry.

• At least 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.

• Proficiency in financial software and tools, including experience with Concur.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.

• Comprehensive understanding of GAAP accounting and financial reporting standards.

• Demonstrated ability to manage audits and month-end close processes.
