Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes for our organization based in Eugene, Oregon. This position requires someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in financial management, compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems while contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare financial statements, statistical reports, and schedules to provide a clear summary of the organization's financial status.

• Perform monthly reconciliations, journal entries, inventory tracking, and sales reporting while preparing documentation for annual audits.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

• Maintain and update financial software systems to support organizational needs.

• Manage fleet administration, including driver eligibility, insurance updates, fuel cards, and vehicle documentation.

• Support company insurance policies by assisting with renewals and responding to incidents.

• Monitor daily cash flow and bank transfers, and reconcile complex bank accounts.

• Provide guidance and support for accounting technician tasks as required.

• Review and monitor accounting policies to ensure compliance with financial management principles and internal controls. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education and experience, with a minimum of five years in general accounting, payroll, and reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls.

• Proven ability to manage workloads effectively and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop

• Minimum of seven years of experience in accounting roles, including month-end close, general ledger management, and financial audits.
