    We’re looking for a Systems Administrator for a direct hire opportunity in Reno, Nevada. This role supports and maintains a hybrid IT environment that includes both on-prem and cloud-based systems. This individual will work primarily within a Microsoft ecosystem and play a hands-on role in keeping systems secure, reliable, and well-documented. This role is ideal for a Systems Administrator who enjoys ownership, variety, and making a visible impact in a lean IT team.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Administer and support on-prem and cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure)

    + Manage Windows Servers, Active Directory, and Azure AD

    + Support Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)

    + Monitor system performance, backups, and security alerts

    + Handle user onboarding/offboarding and access management

    + Troubleshoot infrastructure, system, and basic network issues

    + Apply patches, updates, and security best practices

    + Maintain system and process documentation

    + Coordinate with vendors and internal teams as needed

    Requirements

    Required Skills

    + Experience in a Systems Administrator role

    + Strong Microsoft environment experience (Windows Server, AD, M365)

    + Exposure to Azure or hybrid cloud environments

    + PowerShell or scripting experience (basic to intermediate)

    + Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN)

    + Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

     

    Nice to Have

     

    + Backup and disaster recovery experience

    + Infrastructure automation exposure

    + Security or compliance experience
