    Controller | Venture Capital Firm| Menlo Park| Hybrid (2days/week) | $Base + Generous Bonus + Carry!

     

    Our client is a fast-growing, early-stage investment firm backing tech founders. With over Billions in AUM and a strong history of top-tier returns, the firm is actively scaling and investing from its latest fund.

     

    This is a true right-hand role to the CFO on a lean, high-performing team. You’ll own core fund and management company finance, drive scalable processes, and gain exposure to investor relations, portfolio analytics, and strategic initiatives. High visibility, real ownership, and meaningful impact.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage and oversee fund administrators, consultants, auditors, and tax providers

    + Lead audits, tax filings, and investor reporting

    + Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes to support scaling fund operations.

    + Support fundraising, new fund launches, and process improvements

    Requirements

    + 10+ years in fund accounting and operations; ideally in another fund (venture capital preferred)

    + Strong knowledge of fund structures and partnership accounting

    + Proven experience managing external providers

    + Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced
