Description

We are looking to add a Senior Accountant to the Honolulu Team of Full-Time Engagement Professionals. This role requires someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and month-end close processes. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while collaborating across teams to meet organizational goals. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries to ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.

• Conduct detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

• Analyze financial data to uncover trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.

• Perform variance analysis and provide insights into changes in financial performance.

• Develop supporting schedules and disclosures for external reporting purposes.

• Lead projects related to fixed asset accounting, including depreciation, amortization, and impairment testing.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and address accounting issues.

• Promote teamwork and knowledge-sharing within the department to achieve shared objectives.

Requirements • A minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with expertise in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Solid understanding of fixed asset accounting and related processes.

• Familiarity with variance analysis and external reporting requirements.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams.
