Description
In this role, you will manage a broad range of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, weekly payroll processing, and compliance related activities. Responsibilities:
+ Oversee accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, rebilling, cash application, and bank deposits.
+ Manage accounts payable tasks such as processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate vendor records, and executing payment runs.
+ Process weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accurate tracking of vacation and benefit accruals, including union-specific requirements.
+ Support payroll tax filings and payments while ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
+ Perform regular bank and cash reconciliations and contribute to month-end and periodic financial close processes.
+ Assist with sales and use tax reporting, property tax filing, and other regulatory obligations.
+ Prepare and support annual filings, including 1099s and other state-specific documentation.
+ Maintain organized accounting and compliance records, including customer credit files, exemption certificates, lien waivers, and title tracking.
+ Address inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding accounting, payroll, customer accounts, and vendor-related matters.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
+ 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, prior experience in construction or a project-based environment strongly preferred.
+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience with payroll software and ERP systems, NetSuite experience highly preferred.
+ Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
+ Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing organization.
+ Comfortable operating in settings with imperfect data, evolving processes.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to lead and collaborate across teams.
Compensation & Benefits:
+ The targeted salary range for this position is $80-90K + discretionary bonus
