Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Rochester, New York. As part of this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and assisting with critical accounting tasks. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a commitment to compliance and precision.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.

• Record daily financial transactions into the accounting system to ensure up-to-date records.

• Prepare and reconcile bank deposits and statements to maintain financial accuracy.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely reporting.

• Maintain well-organized financial records and filing systems for easy retrieval.

• Generate reports and spreadsheets as requested to support data analysis.

• Manage invoice processing, track expenses, and maintain communication with vendors.

• Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and payment statements for accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all financial operations.

• Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance team as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Strong skills in data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Experience with invoice processing and vendor management.

• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Macola is preferred.

• Understanding of purchase order reconciliation and financial compliance.

• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors.
