Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Conway, South Carolina. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing of invoices and related documents. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounts payable, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a detail-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable invoice batches promptly upon receipt to maintain accurate and timely financial records.
• File manual checks within three days after accounts payable closure and ensure proper documentation within departmental files.
• Prepare and file accounts payable checks within established deadlines following check runs.
• Manage manual check requests across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with organizational processes.
• Perform clerical duties such as maintaining departmental files and distributing month-end reports as per established procedures.
• Execute data entry tasks efficiently and accurately within designated timeframes.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, department heads, physicians, and executive leadership to support departmental operations.
• Apply strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Utilize technology and PC skills proficiently to enhance workflow and productivity.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in all interactions. Requirements • High school diploma required; Associate Degree in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in accounts payable required, with three years preferred.
• Familiarity with payroll processes is an advantage.
• Experience in healthcare accounting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in accounts payable functions, including coding invoices, check runs, and invoice processing.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Assessment of creditworthiness through review of a consumer credit report is required.
