Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in San Diego, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting various accounting processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to improving workflows and enhancing efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate invoices and follow up with customers to ensure timely accounts receivable collections.

• Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, schedules, and supporting journal entries.

• Maintain and organize financial records, ensuring readiness for audits and compliance with documentation policies.

• Process and verify expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.

• Identify areas for improvement in accounting workflows and contribute to implementing efficient processes.

• Address internal and external inquiries related to accounting matters with professionalism and clarity.

• Post recurring journal entries and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.

• Perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.

• Coordinate and prepare tax filings and other required business documentation.

• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with organizational policies and standards. Requirements • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing general ledger accounts.

• Strong experience with QuickBooks Online and other accounting software.

• Solid knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Familiarity with handling prepaid expenses and related accounting entries.

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to analyze financial data and resolve variances effectively.

• Strong communication skills to address inquiries and collaborate with team members.

• Experience supporting month-end close processes and preparing reconciliations.
