Description

We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to assist our client in a long-term contract role. You will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of customer account management within the manufacturing industry. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with both internal teams and external customers to maintain efficient and effective collections processes.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate directly with customers and internal teams to manage and collect outstanding balances.

• Review and address orders placed on credit hold to ensure timely resolution.

• Resolve disputes related to invoices by working closely with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Provide customers with necessary documentation, including invoices and payment records.

• Collaborate with business teams to address and resolve delinquent accounts.

• Assess and analyze risks associated with extending credit in moderately complex situations.

• Utilize accounting software systems and CRM platforms to track and manage collections processes.

• Monitor and report on account statuses using tools such as credit reporting agencies.

• Respond to inbound calls and inquiries regarding billing and payment issues.

• Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, or Economics preferred.

• At least 1 year of experience in credit and collections within a business-to-business environment.

• Familiarity with credit reporting agencies such as D& B, Experian, or Coface is preferred.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems and CRM platforms.

• Experience with tools and systems like Get Paid, Infor, M3, or similar is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of risk assessment in extending credit.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.

• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
